Légère synthetic reeds are rugged and should last for many hours of playing. Its properties are very similar to these of wet cane. It doesn't have to be preconditioned before playing. Impermeable to water. Completely non-toxic. Can be sanitized. It is extremely tough and it will last a long, long time.

Classic Cut Series Clarinet Reeds:

The Classics for clarinet are extremely durable. The thicker tip material makes for effortless projection while providing a darker sound. The Classic is available in Standard and German Cuts. German Cut reeds are designed to play on German/Oehler system clarinets.

All Classic reeds are more percussive than the Signatures, making them ideal for marching bands and large ensembles.

Signature Series Clarinet Reeds:

The Signatures for clarinet reeds are perfectly centered. They produce a warm, rich tone in all registers of the instrument. They are cut thinner and are stiffer than natural cane generating a clear, focused sound requiring minimum effort from the player.

The Signature’s flexibility produces a wide range of colorful overtones. Their free blowing nature and ease of articulation is ideal for players in all genres.

European Cut Series Clarinet Reeds:

The European Cut Series for Bb Soprano is the next advancement in Légère synthetic reed development. The reed is characterized by a slightly shorter and wider vamp that is comfortable in the embouchure. There is a band of extra material along the spine that provides rigidity without compromising the reed's free blowing nature or high register stability.

Storage and Cleaning
When you are finished playing on your reed, loosen the ligature and remove it from the mouthpiece. The reed can be cleaned periodically with water and a mild detergent. Légère single reeds should be stored in the case it came with or in a flat-surfaced reed case.
Due to the fact that polypropylene is non-porous, it is very difficult for bacteria to build on your reed.
